Illustrator Mary Dauterman is a New York–based art director . She was commissioned by Barnes & Noble to illustrate cat-themed book parodies and is the author/illustrator of Dirty Library (Running Press, 2014), based on her blog of the same name. Her second book, What Are We Even Doing With Our Lives, co-written with Chelsea Marshall, published from Dey Street Books in 2017. She was recognized as one of Business Insider‘s most creative women in advertising (2014). Her work has been recognized by the Webbies, the Cannes Lion festival, and Communication Arts as well as featured in Vice magazine, Time, NPR, and The Huffington Post, among others.
